Reiki Chakra Balance refers to an act of healing or attainment of healthy physical and mental conditions through transmission of positive energy through the technique of Reiki in order to align or balance the energy centers in a man's body. The word chakra, having its roots in the ancient Sanskrit word 'chakram' of Hinduism meaning sphere, refers to the seven energy spheres or centers in a human body placed vertically from the crown of the head to the base of the spine.

Chakra balancing is all about realizing that a person's physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual wellbeing depends on the energy reception and transmission from these chakras. Thus, any misdirection or blockage thereof, is the sole cause behind all the physical illnesses that man suffers from. The Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye and Crown of the Head Chakras are the seven body chakras which can be said to be the force points of our entire energy system, our full life force in its entirety. Thus, it is extremely crucial to keep these energy meridians balanced and in equilibrium so that the flow of energy is not hampered.

Amidst numerous techniques like those of meditation, acupuncture, radionics, sound therapy etc, Reiki Chakra Balancing is one of the most effective in its chakra balancing and thereby physical healing capacities. Also known as Palm healing, it involves placing or directing the healer's palms over the chakra positions of the healee in order to transmit energy from the higher infinite source to the healee. Thus, the healer or the Reiki practitioner is an intermediate person who facilitates channelizing this energy with the help of intense focus and good intention.

The process of Reiki Chakra balancing usually starts with the practitioner attaining a meditative state of mind and the healee lying down in a calm and relaxed way wearing loose clothing for being comfortable. Remember that more the comfort level of the healee, more open he will be and thereby more effective will be the process of energy transmission.

Since Reiki Chakra Balancing is all about palm healing, different hand positions exist depending upon the chakra locations for maximum healing effect. Usually it involves placing the palm flatly against the chakra location or a diseased body part that needs to be healed but hand techniques such as tapping, stroking, etc along with blowing or gazing is used. Mainly targeted around the head and neck area, other spots include front and back of the torso, knees and feet. In case the healee is not aware of his health issue, many a times the process starts with the practitioner scrutinizing the person's aura, or the energy field emanating from the seven chakras to identify the problem areas of energy blockage.

Various kinds of hand positions in Reiki energize and balance chakras in different levels. It can be a mere energizing on the physical level via the warmth of your hands where the healee will feel a tingling sensation in areas being focused on. Going a step further, Reiki symbols are used to energize on the mental level. There are various Reiki symbols drawn for achieving specific objectives and these can be drawn on the person's body or mentally focused upon for the desired benefits. Localized treatments is a term that denotes placing hands on areas such as injury or requiring surgery, for varied lengths of time for intensely focused healing purposes.

Thus, it can be said that just by mere laying of hands, one can improve another person in all the aspects be it physical, or otherwise, without any medical interventions. Using proper techniques and ancient Reiki symbols, the energy is allowed to flow where needed so as to bring the chakras into alignment and proper balance.

Always remember that a proactive approach is always better and more effective than the reactive one. Thus, not waiting for a disease to happen, if you proactively involve yourself in Reiki Chakra Balancing then you would experience smooth energy flow and thereby attain the maximum physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
